You are your own expert...

Coming to counselling for the first time can feel like a big step. My hope is that from the moment you get in touch, you’ll feel welcomed, listened to and treated as an individual.

I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, working with adults and young people aged 11 and over. My main approach is Person Centred, which means I believe that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than telling you what you should do, I offer a space where we can explore what is happening for you together.

I believe that feeling genuinely heard and accepted can be incredibly powerful. Counselling isn’t about having someone judge you, fix you or give you all the answers. It is about you having the time and space to understand yourself, explore what you’re feeling and perhaps see things from a different perspective. It's about putting yourself higher up on your 'to do' list and being kind to yourself.

I bring warmth, openness, empathy and integrity to my work, while respecting that everyone’s experiences are different. We will work at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a member of the BACP and hold a Diploma in Counselling. 

With over twenty years experience of working creatively and therapeutically with both adults and young people, I belive passionately in the power of really being listened to, being seen and being given space to find our own way.

I offer face to face sessions from my counselling room in Marnhull, Dorset or online and phone sessions if this is a better fit for you.
